The symposium is taking place in the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Melbourne, in the McCoy Building — the lovely brutalist concrete building on the corner of Swanston and Elgin Streets— 253-283 Elgin St, Carlton VIC 3053.

The main entrance to the McCoy Building is on the first floor of the building — take the ramp or stairs up from Elgin St.


Travel From Melbourne CBD

Take one of the many trams along Swanston Street, and alight at the Melbourne University stop. Then walk to 253-283 Elgin St (~2-minute walk from the tram stop).


TRAVEL From Melbourne Tullamarine Airport

Take the SkyBus from the airport to Southern Cross Station.  

From Southern Cross, take a train or tram into the CBD then up to the university precinct.

Alternatively, a taxi or ride-share (Uber, etc.) from the airport to the university precinct in Carlton typically takes ~30 minutes in morning traffic, costing approximately A$55–70.
